The professional activity of TJC Design has always been developed following two core ethical principles: respect for people and environmental protection. Hence our commitment to take these vows in writing. Doing the right thing for all our stakeholders (customers, employees, shareholders, business partners, etc.) and the environment is key to the services we provide.
By approving this document, our company undertakes to:
- Follow ethics and responsibility principles whilst we carry out our work.
- Comply with the regulations of each country where we develop our professional activities.
- Ensure that the behaviour of our employees is in the spirit of this Code of Ethics and Social Responsibility.
- Treat our business and professional partners in a fair and dignified manner.
- Protect the environment and manage resources sustainably.
These ethical principles will help us reinforce and keep up with our daily best quality performance, improvement of our services, and ongoing customer service and dedication.
TJC Design’s Code of Ethics and Social Responsibility is the main policy in our Company and thus it must be followed by all employees, managers and superintendents in their duties and professional responsibilities.
This Code of Ethics and Social Responsibility is a written statement that must be followed by all employees, managers and superintendents in their duties and professional responsibilities within our Company.
4. Scope of application
This Code of Ethics and Social Responsibility is applicable to all employees, managers and superintendents of TJC Design.
The Code has been shared with each and every member of our Company and is available on our website for all stakeholders.
5.1. Compliance with applicable regulations
All members of our Company must comply with the applicable regulations in each and every country where their professional activity is carried out. Furthermore, all rules and procedures of our Company must be followed at all times.
They will also ensure that the honourability, image and reputation of our Company is permanently kept by acting according to the utmost demand.
To this purpose, employees, managers and superintendents will ensure compliance with the commitments and values stated this Code of Ethics and Social Responsibility. In a non-compliance event, our Company has made available an Ethical Channel, where such breaches can be confidentially notified or reported by any employee.
5.2. Anti-corruption and bribery
Keeping an anti-corruption and bribery policy in place is an essential aspect of this Code of Ethics and Social Responsibility. All TJC Design’s employees are committed to an ethical, transparent and responsible behaviour with the authorities of the countries and cities where we operate as well as with our customers and suppliers.
All TJC Design employees who deal with public authorities and institutions in different countries will keep a lawful, ethical, respectful, transparent and aligned conduct, abiding prevention of corruption and bribery regulations of these countries. All decisions and actions taken must be documented and permanently made available for third parties and/or company assessments.
TJC Design’ employees shall refrain from making payments to facilitate or expedite formalities, such as money transactions or other valuable items, in exchange for securing or expediting red tape or actions of any kind, with any legal body, public administration or official representative.
No TJC Design employee may offer, grant, implore or accept (directly or indirectly), any gifts, special treatment or compensation, to or from any authority or official representative of the countries where their activities are carried out.
To ensure that employees conform to this Code with an ethic and transparent conduct, our Company has made available an Ethical Channel, where any anti-corruption or bribes breaches can be confidentially notified or reported by any employee.
TJC Design considers “people” as the key factor of our business and is committed to providing employees with the best tools and training to perform their duties. Our employees are committed to using these tools and making the most of the knowledge gained in order to prevent and minimize any environmental or safety risk.
Therefore, no person shall be discriminated against on the basis of race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, political opinion or nationality. At TCJ Design, we explicitly prohibit any form of physical, sexual, psychological or verbal harassment or abuse of our employees. Any intimidating, offensive or hostile conduct in our work environment is also strictly prohibited.
Our employees must strictly comply with all applicable regulations and will collaborate in the prevention, detection and eradication of any irregularities in this area.
In their employment relationships with their colleagues, all our employees are obliged to act following respect, dignity and justice criteria. TJC Design does not employ anyone under the age of 16. All employees are responsible for rigorously complying with occupational health and safety standards, and for ensuring their own safety and that of those affected by their activities.
TJC Design is committed to providing its customers with a high standard of quality, health and safety in its products, to communicating with them in a clear and transparent manner, and to developing their products ethically and responsibly.
In their relationships with customers, all our employees are obliged to act with consideration, respect and dignity, taking into account the different cultural sensitivity of each person. Therefore, no person shall be discriminated against on the basis of race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, political opinion, nationality, or any other personal or social condition prohibited by law.
TJC Design employees will deal with goods & services suppliers in a lawful, ethical and respectful manner.
All TJC Design’ suppliers must respect human & labour rights of their employees, commit to protecting the environment, and engage their stakeholders and business partners in this respect.
5.6. Confidentiality and personal data protection
TJC Design’ staff must protect the owned or guarded information and knowledge of our organization, undertaking to maintain confidentiality and to use this data only for the purpose for which it was obtained.
Employees shall refrain from using any third party’ information, documents or any confidential data, without explicit written permission, during the exercise of their professional activity.
5.7. Protection of intellectual and industrial property
TJC Design is committed to the protection of intellectual and industrial property. This includes, but is not limited to, copyrights, patents, trademarks, domain names, reproduction rights, design rights, databases and technical expertise rights.
To this purpose, all processes and decisions related to protection of intellectual and industrial property are documented and can be verified.
5.8. Social and environmental commitment
TJC Design is a socially responsible company and besides collaborating with social organizations, promotes social and environmental best practice among its employees.
TJC Design is committed to minimizing the environmental impact throughout the life cycle of its products by implementing impact reduction procedures at every stage of the design, manufacturing, installation process, and customer delivery.
6. Monitoring and control
This Code should not only be a bold statement, but a guide to be followed by all employees in each activity or process carried out by our Company. To this purpose, TJC Design has an Ethical Channel in which employees, managers and superintendents have a duty to report any signs of non-compliance in relation to this Code of Ethics and Social Responsibility that they are aware of.
Breaches can be confidentially notified or reported not only for the benefit of our company but also for the community.
Likewise, any employee reports must always be made in good faith, based on facts and objective reasons to justify non-compliance.
In addition, TJC Design undertakes to maintain confidentiality of all reports, and ensures that no retaliatory action is to be taken regardless the nature of the complaint.
This commitment undertaken by each and every employee of TJC Design will help prevent any risky situation that may affect the company, its employees, society, the environment and third parties. Furthermore, our employees, managers and superintendents will rest assure knowing that their course of action is always compliant.
